Information we collect

Account details you provide: email address, display name and, for password accounts, a securely hashed password.
Learning activity: lessons completed, quiz answers, XP, streaks, gems and leaderboard standing.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your email and name from Google.

Microphone & speech

Pronunciation and speaking exercises use your microphone only while you record. Speech is transcribed on your device by the operating system; we receive the resulting text to score your answer, not raw audio.

Text-to-speech is generated by your device and never leaves it.

How we use your data

To deliver lessons, track progress and power gamification.
To send the one-time codes that verify your email.
To maintain leaderboards and your account across devices.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account; this permanently removes your profile, progress and sessions from our servers and cannot be undone.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

You may access, correct, export or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email hello@insegnantemahi.com.

Delete your account

You can delete your Insegnante Mahi account, and everything stored with it, from inside the app — no email required.

Open the app and sign in.
Go to Profile → Settings → Delete account.
Confirm. The account is removed immediately.

Deletion permanently removes your profile, email address, display name, learning progress, XP, streaks, gems, leaderboard entries and active sessions from our servers. It cannot be undone, and nothing is retained afterwards except records we are required by law to keep, such as payment receipts.

No longer have the app installed? Email hello@insegnantemahi.com from your registered address and we will delete the account for you within 30 days.
